Global cyber attack affects Russian companies
Now Russia is also among the countries affected by the global cyber attack. However, no hackers in the world will be able to influence the results of the Russian election as it is not about America. Nonetheless, the virus affected the electronic system of the Russian Railways as well as a number of other state institutions badly.
Some citizens of Russia can be surprised by the news and wonder how it is possible to worsen the operation of the Russian Railways system even more if the only institution that works worse than the Russian Railways is the Russian Post. But nothing is impossible. The WannaCry virus has attacked large companies all around the world, including the Russian ones. For example, technical services of the Russian Railways managed to detect the virus infiltration just in time and get it under control. So, according to the company's officials, the virus did not affect the work of the system. In other words, it works as usual, not very well, we mean...
As for other victims, such Russian organizations as VimpelCom, Megafon, Sberbank, the Central Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Health were also attacked. The hackers demand $300 million for the return of all sorts of data and information.
